Danny Langloss, 80 of Humeston passed away, Friday, December 7, 2018 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.
Danny was born to Wilbur & Edna (Macy) (Lindgren) Langloss on April 28, 1938 in Bridgeport, Kansas. He received his education from Allerton High School, graduating in 1957.
Danny was a loving son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather. Danny had a special bond with his son Shane as they both loved mushroom hunting, fishing, and trapping. Danny and Louise were inseparable; and had a very loving relationship. One that has lasted for over 29 years. They especially enjoyed the time they spent together on their daily adventures. Danny was a hard-working man who worked several jobs including a lineman for Clark Electric, owning his own tree business, as well as buying and selling fur and turtles. Danny loved singing in the car and telling stories which leaves us with many fond memories to cherish.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Langloss, children: Danette Dollison (Gary), Shane Langloss (Robin), Shelly Hitt (Jamie), Robbie Langloss, Diane Kelly (Cliff), Rich LaFollette (Lisa), Melissa Broich (Allen), 20 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, siblings: Gary Langloss (Margaret), Marlene Spencer (LeRoy) and numerous extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Thomas Funeral Home in Corydon with Rev. Melanie Halferty officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Allerton Cemetery. Visitation will be Tues., December 11, 2018 at Thomas Funeral Home in Corydon with family present from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Memorials may be given to Wayne County Home Care Aid Agency and condolences may be shared at www.thomasfh.com or facebook.com/thomasfuneralhome.
